Sydney Modern Gallery
Project Description
Sydney Modern art gallery is a new exhibition space adjacent to the existing Sydney art gallery. The new building forms a series of pavilions, cascading towards Sydney Harbour – built over two remaining WWII oil tanks and the Eastern Distributor. It is the first public art museum in Australia to achieve the highest environmental standard.

Outcome
The building has been commissioned successfully and handed over to the client. The GBCA has awarded the Sydney Modern Project a 6-star Green Star Design rating, making it a world class leader in sustainability.
